A little levity in the holiday spirit and an invitation...

Hey Reader!

Greetings from blustery Chicago and the Midwest Clinic! Since it's the last day of the clinic, it's been cut short due to the incoming winter storm, I'll keep my email brief so I can get to the conference!

As we near the last day of instruction for some schools, I have just one fun video to share, and an invitation:

The invitation...

I mentioned the last two weeks that I'm offering an end-of-year discount on my course Switching to Oboe. I'm also inviting you to take some time off to enjoy the holiday, then get in touch with me to have a 20 minute chat about your oboe students.

We can talk about the course, reeds, instruments...whatever you'd like to discuss. I'm opening 10 spots in my schedule for a chat in January.

Reply now, and let's talk!

The fun video:

Perhaps you saw a clip of this video going around Instagram a few weeks ago? I thought it particularly fun for the season as many musicians are getting ready or have already played an annual Messiah. Enjoy the creativity:

I'll be taking a few weeks off for the holidays, so I'll be back in your inbox with more info about teaching oboe in January!

Until 2023,

Alli

Hey Reader, In December, as part of my holiday gift to my students, I gave each of them a little eyeglass repair kit. The screwdriver was the important part, but they can do whatever they want with the teeny screws and nose pads! 😂 I have lost count of the number of times that students have had rods fall off their oboes, or weird things malfunction because a rod screw is loose. Recently a student's brand new oboe started playing funny because a rod screw was loose! So I decided that I was...
